Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Happy Thanksgiving!! Currently driving back home from a wonderful 1 night trip in Springfield, MA. We got to see the beautiful Christmas lights in the Springfield Forest Park. It definitely reminded me of the child like excitement that I once had (and still have) when I knew my birthday has passed and I get to help my dad put the tree up and clean the snow outside.
During the drive home, my friend and I were talking about being thankful in all things. The good the bad and the ugly. God knows all of our needs and will supply them according to His riches and glory. Many times we may get lost or caught up in the things that we don’t have or feel some type of when we see another person living the type of life that we’ve always wanted to live. Trust me, what you see on the exterior doesn’t provide the full story or view into someone’s life or situation. That person that you are comparing yourself to, had to have gone through a lot just to be where they are today.
Be grateful for where you are today because there are those who are waiting anxiously for something God hasn’t willed for their lives in general or at this time. We must seek first God’s kingdom, and then all things will be brought into fruition according to His will. Don’t lose sight as to who God has called you and you alone to be. There will never be and can never be another me, because I’m gonna be me. I’m gonna be that girl who always jumps on hotel beds while on vacation because I refuse to do it on my own bed. LOL Be grateful for your health, safety of your family, for friends who are like family and has been your support system, where you live, good situations and bad situations and be grateful for the love of God that through it all He still loves, he’s still faithful.
Be Still and know that He is God!
Happy Thanksgiving
