Psalms 51:10-12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Well, well, well, Happy New Years Everyone! I’m so happy 2019 is there an 2018 is gone. I could definitely say that I’ve grown a lot with my journey with God. Things are being structured and I’m seeking God’s desire over my own.
The passage above really spoke to me in the beginning of this year. I finally get to date, woot! woot! I have a 5 year old now going into kindergartner this year, the worship lead I oversee is growing and growing and I couldn’t be more excited than I am now and lastly the friendships that I’m forming are friendship that will last forever. As we enter 2019, I pray that everyone’s prayer is that God creates a clean heart in you on a regular basis. Why you ask? Asking God to create a clean heart in you allows him and your desires to align together for his glory.
All of the accomplishments that I’ve mentioned above has happened because I’ve learned to let go and let God take control. Every time I say that statement I smile because when I gave up driving stick, I lost the ability to change gears in my car to my own liking. Now that I’ve been driving automatic for 2 years and letting God change the gears….it really hasn’t been that bad. My life has had its ups and downs but I trusted God and he really brought me through.
As a worshiper, a team member, family member we are placed here to further God’s kingdom, creating disciples. I challenge you this year and every other year God allows you to live, to fully surrender your heart to God’s desires. The joy at the end is more than you could ever imagine.
